John Rauschkolb is Founder and CEO of Banco La Hipotecaria, a Panamanian-based mortgage bank with subsidiary operations in El Salvador and Colombia.
John holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Pepperdine University, an MA in International Management from the Lauder Institute at The University of Pennsylvania and MBA in Finance from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania, MBA.
John has thirty-eight years of mortgage-banking experience having begun his mortgage banking career in California in 1983 where he worked in the industry until 1992 before beginning his graduate studies in finance and international management. After finishing his graduate studies he became Director of Mortgage operations for Invermexico, Banco Mexicano where lived through the peso devaluation of 1994 and its aftermath.
In 1997, John founded the company that is today Banco La Hipotecaria, a regional mortgage lender based in the Republic of Panama, that specializes in the in the origination, servicing and securitization of residential first-mortgage loans to homeowners in the middle and lower-middle income brackets. Today, La Hipotecaria services a residential portfolio of over 30,000 mortgages totaling nearly US$1 billion with an average loan size of $35,000. The company employs 250 persons in 11 offices in Panama, El Salvador and Colombia. The La Hipotecaria has successfully completed sixteen MBS transactions, including the pioneering issuance of seven regional cross-border investment-grade rated securitization of the bank´s residential mortgage portfolio placed into U.S. markets.
John has served as a Director of the Panamanian Securities Exchange (Bolsa de Valroes de Panamá) and the Central American Clearing Agency (Central Latinoamericano de Valroes, S. A.) and the Panamanian Banking Association. He is also an active member of the Panama Chapter of YPO. John lives in Panama City, Panama with his wife Mayra and they have three sons, Eric, Mark and Paul.
Mr. Fábrega obtained his B.S. in Business Administration from Texas A&M University (1993). Later he obtained a MBA from Nova Southeastern University in (1997). Currently, Mr. Fabrega is the Executive Vice President and General Manager of ASSA Compañia de Seguros, S.A., and prior to that he served as VP General of Branches, Director of the Corporate Insurance Division, Technical Manager and Finance Manager among other positions in the same company. He was born on November 5, 1971.

Mr. Pelyhe attended the Accounting School at the University of Panama. Before joining Grupo ASSA, Mr. Pelyhe worked six years as an auditor for the accounting firm KPMG where he specialized in banking and insurance and formed part of its prestigious training group. Currently, Mr. Pelyhe is Vice President of Finance and Investments at ASSA Compañía de Seguros, S.A. and several of its subsidiary companies. Mr. Pelyhe is also Director of LatinClear, Director of Desarrollo El Dorado, S.A., Metropolitana Compañía de Seguros, S.A., Profuturo Administradora de Fondos de Pensión y Cesantía, S.A., Reaseguradora Nuevo Mundo, S.A., Telecarrier, S.A. Esteban Durán-Amat, S.A., y Planeta Verde, S.A. Mr. Pelyhe was born on October 5, 1951.
Mr. Hanono obtained his B.S. in Business Administration from the American University (1989). He is the CEO of the different companies that comprise the group Emresas Vicsons, an important Panamanian real estate investment company. Mr. Hanono is a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of Grupo ASSA, S.A. and ASSA Compañía de Seguros, S.A. He was born on July 23, 1968.
Graduated with a B.S. degree in Finance from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Began his profession career working in the Corporate Finance Department of Banco Continental de Panama, with a specialization in telecommunications and energy. Promoted to the position of Assistant Vice-president of Commercial Banking in Banco Continental de Panama. During his eight year career with Banco Continental he was involved in structuring and syndicating more than a $1 billion in private and public transactions. During the second half of 2007 and the first half of 2008 he served as Vice-president of Corporate Finance for Mundial Servicios Financieros, S. A. during which he was in charge of structuring financial instruments for the capital markets. Current he is employed in the Treasury Department of Inversiones Bahía LTD.
Mr. Cardoze obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Duke University, Durham, North Carolina (2000). Later he obtained the Title of Juris Doctor of Washington University, Saint Louis, Missouri (2003). Professionally he serves as a Partner and member of the Executive Committee of the Arias, Fabrega & Fabrega Law firm. He is a licensed attorney in Panama and in the State of Florida, United States. He is a Director of ASSA Compañía de Seguros, S.A., Fondo General de Inversiones, and is a former alternate Director of the Bolsa de Valores de Panama and of Central Latinoamericana de Valores, S.A. He was born January 4, 1978.
Obtuvo su Título de Licenciado en Comercio con Especialización en Contabilidad de La Universidad de Panamá (1976) y un Posgrado en Tributación de UNESCPA (2005). Es Director de Servicio Corporativos de Contabilidad y Auditoría. Ha ocupado puestos de liderazgo en la organización como Gerente de Auditoria. Nació el 24 de abril de 1954.
Obtuvo su título de Licenciatura en Finanzas y Negocios Internacionales en la Universidad de Georgetown, Washington DC. Posteriormente obtuvo una Maestría Ejecutiva en Banca y Finanzas en el Instituto Centroamericano de Administración de Empresas – INCAE. Cuenta con 10 años de experiencia en el sector bancario en diversas posiciones de Finanzas Corporativas, Tesorería e Inversiones. Actualmente se desempeña como Consultora Independiente y miembro activo de diversas entidades benéficas. Nació el 24 de agosto de 1979.
